Our Story

Lymm Cruising Club: A Canal Cruising Club

Lymm Cruising Club was established in 1955, and has proudly served the canal cruising community ever since. We are a cruising boat club, considered one of the best in the region. We offer a wide range of amenities and are dedicated to meeting the changing needs of our members.

Lymm Cruising Club is perfectly situated on the Bridgewater Canal just a few minutes walk from the village of Lymm in Cheshire. This members only boat club is situated in its own grounds on the side of the Bridgewater Canal at Lymm. Our members enjoy organised cruises during the season plus a programme of full and varied social events throughout the year. Members have exclusive use of the Club facilities in return for supporting our Commodore's cruising programme. The Club's magazine/newsletter  "The Slipway", is published monthly, it informs members of up and coming events, latest news and general information as well as a few photographs of interest. Members will receive an electronic copy that is emailed to them in PDF format. This is very useful when out long term cruising and wishing to keep in touch with what is going on back home. If you would like to join us contact us by email
